A 5513 is for sure one of, if not the most, essential reference for vintage Rolex watch collectors nowadays. The everyday time piece which seems to never lose its magic appeal as a tool watch has unmistakably turned in an absolute icon over the years.

This example from 1967 boasts a matching all over patina except for the updated Trip-lock crown received during a service interval as it would provide increased water resistance. The matte black “Meters First” dial is in great condition with no discoloration. While the domed Tritium luminous is mostly intact some very slight dust is visible, the color ranges from a creamy yellow to light green.

The black MK2 Fat Font “Long 5” insert is in excellent condition with only 1 small nick/chip on the inner edge to the left of the 50 marker. The domed acrylic crystal is in near mint shape with only a few surface scratches and a small nick on the outer rim at the 30 marker.

Case & crown guards & triple lock crown have probably seen a slight polish over the years but are otherwise in excellent shape and the beveled edges are not totally worn away. An ever so slight and barely noticeable dent is present on the bottom edge of the case opposing the crown and some small dents are also visible at the end of 1 lug.
