A 5513 is for sure one of, if not the most, essential reference for a vintage Rolex watch collector nowadays. The everyday time piece which seems to never lose its magic appeal as a tool watch has unmistakably turned in an absolute icon over the years.

This example from 1970 has a early “non-serif “ matte black dial with the “Feet First Depth Rating”. The original Tritium lume seems to have been removed as there is no glow when shinned under a black light, only the insert Pearl shines bright green.

The “Fat Font” insert shows some slight authentic ghosting (fading to grey) and has 3 chips varying in size on inner the edge (20,50,60). The domed acrylic crystal is in near mint shape with only a few surface scratches and a small nick near the 40 marker.

Case, crown guards & twin lock crown have probably seen a slight polish over the years but otherwise is in excellent shape and the beveled edges can mostly still be observed, no noticeable deep gouges or dents.  Comes with original bracelet, a 9135/280, in excellent shape with no noticeable scratches.
